Our culture is obsessed with checklists and scannable content.  We want information quicker, and we sure aren't going to read the details between the bold points.  That's fine and all, but we quickly bury ourselves in lists, unable to find what we need when we need it.

Here's the checklist I've been grooving on for a week or so.

  1. Slow down.
  2. Seperate the noise from the signal.
  3. Do the work.  (For me, it's "be a great personal trainer.")
